Frequently asked questions

Common Questions

We know choosing care for a loved one comes with questions. Here are the ones families ask us most often.

What areas do you serve?

Julie Family Care currently serves Holbrook, Weymouth, Rockland, Hingham and surrounding communities in Norfolk and Plymouth County, Massachusetts. If you’re unsure whether we cover your area, please reach out — we’re happy to discuss options.

Is Julie Family Care a medical or clinical service?

No. Julie Family Care provides non-medical, private-pay homecare — including companionship, personal care assistance, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and respite support. We do not provide skilled nursing, wound care, injections, or clinical treatment. If your loved one needs clinical care, we can help point you in the right direction.

How do I get started?

The first step is a short, no-obligation care conversation — by phone or in person. We’ll listen to what your family needs, answer your questions honestly, and talk through whether Julie Family Care is the right fit. There’s no pressure and no commitment required. Request a care conversation here.

How much does home care cost?

Julie Family Care is a private-pay service, meaning clients pay directly rather than through insurance or Medicaid. Rates are discussed during your care conversation and depend on the type of support, schedule, and frequency needed. We believe in transparent pricing with no hidden fees.

Can I meet Julie before committing to anything?

Absolutely — and we encourage it. Getting to know the person who will be in your loved one’s home is important. An introductory visit or call gives both sides a chance to ask questions, build comfort, and decide together whether it’s a good fit. No commitment is required.

What if I need care on evenings or weekends?

Scheduling flexibility is something we take seriously. We discuss availability openly during the care conversation and work to find a schedule that fits your family’s routine. Reach out to talk through what you need — we’ll do our best to accommodate.
