Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Julie Family Care

We want families to feel informed and confident. Here are answers to the questions we hear most often.

What type of care does Julie Family Care provide?

Julie Family Care provides private-pay, non-medical companionship and supportive homecare services including companion care, social engagement, meal preparation, light homemaking, errands and appointment accompaniment, respite support, safety supervision and daily routine assistance.

Is Julie Family Care a medical home health agency?

No. Julie Family Care is a private-pay, non-medical homecare service. We do not provide skilled nursing, medical treatment, therapy, medication administration, wound care or clinical assessments. These services must be provided by appropriately licensed medical providers.

Who provides the services?

Julie is currently the primary service provider for Julie Family Care. She is a Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant with hands-on experience supporting older adults and individuals who need everyday assistance at home. As the business grows, Julie Family Care may coordinate support through properly screened employees or formal partnerships with established homecare agencies. Any such arrangement will be communicated clearly to the client and family in advance.

How does private-pay care work?

Private-pay means that services are arranged and paid for directly between the client or family and Julie Family Care, without going through health insurance, Medicare, Medicaid or a government program. This arrangement gives families more flexibility in choosing services and scheduling, without the limitations that often apply to insurance-covered care.

What schedules are available?

Scheduling is flexible and arranged based on the client's needs and Julie's availability. Morning, afternoon and evening visits may be available depending on the service arrangement. Contact Julie to discuss your preferred schedule and start date.
